Since 1981, the nearby butterfly meadow, home to many rare species of butterflies, has been a specially protected conservation area.

• Observation tower

The observation tower on the mountaintop affords a magnificent panorama view of the vineyards of the Sausal. The outlock reaches from the Pannonic Lowland in the east to the Steiner Alps in the west.

• World´s biggest windmill-type scarecrow rattle

The so called Klapotetz is a traditional building in the vineyards. In former times its function was the expulsion of birds from the vineyards. The record dimensions are: height 17 m, wingspan 13 m, mass 16 t, errected 1993.

• Sausal wine and culture cellar

In the old baroque Harrachegg Castle you can visit the Sausal wine and culture cellar showing traditional goods.

• Wildlife and wine track

The educational wine hiking track and the forrest and wildlife track are situated above the Harrachegg Castle and below the Klapotetz. Closeby lays the Hubertus grotto.
